Pac-12 basketball programs have taken a backseat in the 21st century as East Coast powers like the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels have dominated the NCAA Tournament. But the Pac-12 is home to one of the standard bearers for greatest college basketball teams. The UCLA Bruins won a string of seven straight NCAA Tournament titles from 1967-1973 and 10 titles in 12 seasons from 1964-1975.

The Arizona Wildcats, however, are the most recent champions from the Pac-12, winning the 1997 NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, the California Golden Bears count Jason Kidd among their former players, and James Harden, among the best current NBA players, was a member of the Arizona State Sun Devils.
