They basically always show up to set as themselves, and play a variation of that in every movie they are cast. Someone like The Rock is expected to be The Rock, regardless of the film they're acting in. And that's okay. Audiences love it, and Dwayne Johnson consistently delivers, but saying he has a ton of acting range might be a stretch.
